There's a lot of uncertainty in the world at the moment. As moms, we have to navigate this uncertainty not only for ourselves but also for our kids. And then there's the uncertainty involved with starting, maintaining, and growing a business for us as mompreneurs.
I think we could all do with a bit of certainty in our lives, what ya think?
So in this week's episode, I'm unpacking a comment that Jennifer Locke made in her interview on last week's episode of the Playful Mompreneur. She said that when you were starting out in business, it's OK to get some quick wins under your belt and to make some "quick and dirty" money to build your expertise and network — and to learn more about the highest value work you can offer to clients.
I'm so glad she brought this up because I think it's a really important part of the Playful Mompreneur way. I call it "sure thing" work — work that you are good at, you can do very easily and that you can pick up reasonably quickly. It may not be your dream work, and it may not be the kind of work you want to do long-term, but it pays the bills and therefore keeps you on your Playful Mompreneur path.
Jenn and I agree that you don't want to be doing "sure thing" work forever, but in the episode, I dive into how you can use "sure thing" work strategically in your Playful Mompreneur business.
